Key Responsibilities: Pharmacy Services: * Oversee the preparation, labeling, dispensing, and delivery of medications. * Review and verify medication orders for appropriate dosing, scheduling, route, and potential interactions. * Identify and resolve medication-related issues through direct collaboration with physicians. * Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness. * Prioritize daily tasks to meet patient and departmental needs. * Provide drug information and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals. * Respond to complex medication inquiries and reactions from clinical staff. * Practice Medication Therapy Services through patient assessments and therapy recommendations. Training & Development: * Participate in orientation and training for pharmacists, technicians, residents, and students. * Engage in ongoing professional development and educational activities. * Foster a collaborative environment by welcoming feedback and contributing to team goals. Qualifications: Education: * Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a School or College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Licensure: * Current pharmacist license from applicable State Board of Pharmacy Experience: * Previous retail experience preferred but not required Attachments * Why Mercy?
