Memory Care Manager

Christian Care / Fellowship Square

Responsibilities Provide hands‑on personal care with dignity and respect to Memory Care residents. Build meaningful relationships with residents and families; act as the manager’s designee in interactions with family members, physicians, pharmacy, and other individuals. Collaborate with caregivers and team members; coordinate staff direction and make independent value judgments during the shift; call manager as needed. Ensure a safe, welcoming environment rooted in compassion. Provide high‑level quality customer service to residents, family members, guests, and employees. Assess residents’ needs during each shift and ensure all personal needs are met. Adjust shift assignments and schedule as needed to adapt to changing resident needs. Assist manager with MAR record maintenance, accuracy audits, and quality control of documentation. Coordinate orientation and training for new employees on your shift. Monitor staff performance and communicate areas of concern to the manager. Report any changes in a resident’s condition or areas of concern during the shift in writing, in person, or by phone as appropriate. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Five or more years of experience as a caregiver. Certified Caregiver, Medical Assistant, and Memory Care experience. Certification in CDP, PAC, Comfort Matters, CARES, or equivalent program implementation. Strong communication skills: read, write, and speak English fluently; interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence. Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Knowledge of state assisted living rules and regulations, and facility policies and procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills: respectful, polite, and sensitive to residents’ needs and privacy. Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift and move up to 100 lb, and perform tasks that require reaching, climbing, or bending. Benefits Supportive, purpose‑driven team. Physical Demands The physical demands of this job include frequent standing, walking, using hands for handling, reaching, climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. Occasionally the employee must sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee may need to lift or move more than 100 lb. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment May work in warm or cool environment. May work in confined areas. Subject to exposure to dust, chemicals, housekeeping, and disinfecting solutions. May be exposed to body fluids, infectious diseases, and odors.
