Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 12-Hour Shifts (Rotating)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a 13-week assignment in Omaha, NE, working within a long-term care and nursing home setting with a focus on pediatric patients. This is a great opportunity for a flexible clinician who is comfortable managing a varied caseload and adapting to rotating schedules.

The ideal candidate is confident providing respiratory care across pediatric populations and thrives in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments, assessments, and interventions for pediatric patients

• Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway clearance therapies

• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed

• Respond to respiratory emergencies and support resuscitation efforts when necessary

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on respiratory care and equipment use

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

• Active Respiratory Therapist License (Nebraska or eligible)

• Current BLS certification required

• ACLS and PALS preferred , but not required

• Experience with pediatric patients strongly preferred

• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:8–1:10

Work Environment

• Long-Term Care (LTC) / Nursing Home setting

• Pediatric-focused unit

• Rotating 12-hour day shifts

• High level of independence with strong team collaboration
