About The Role
Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing and industrial innovation space, is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support their HR team at their New Ulm, Minnesota location. This is a fully onsite, Monday–Friday role operating during core business hours.
This position plays a key role in supporting recruiting and onboarding processes while ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple administrative priorities within a fast-paced HR environment.
Job Description
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR team, with a strong focus on recruiting coordination and onboarding activities. This role helps ensure efficient hiring processes and supports day-to-day HR functions through scheduling, documentation, and system updates.
Key Responsibilities Include
Administer employment-related assessments (including MESP and GAMB tests), including candidate communication and follow-up
Support HR staff and hiring managers with applicant tracking and administrative recruiting tasks
Coordinate and assist with new hire orientation activities
Print, organize, and scan onboarding documentation into HR systems such as Workday
Provide general administrative support across HR functions
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal processes
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in administrative support, HR coordination, recruiting, or onboarding
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HR platforms such as Workday
Experience supporting hiring processes, including interviews and candidate communication
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
