Closing Processor, Escrow Department

Supervisor: Branch Manager

Overall Responsibility:

To assist Escrow Officers in processing and completing real estate closings

Key areas of responsibility:

• Provides support to Escrow department by assisting with customer service and administrative duties related to escrow closings.
• Answer incoming calls and help client or direct call to the appropriate person
• Open new orders and gather information from the parties to the transaction
• Post Earnest Money and send Deposit Confirmation to appropriate parties.
• Track & Review title commitment - Forward title commitment to the appropriate parties
• Compare Information on the contract with title commitment
• Notify Escrow Officer of any special requirements shown on the commitment or discrepancies in the information gathered
• Prepare initial title package for new lender (Escrow Officer to prepare and/or review CDF)
• If applicable to the transaction, order:

1. Lien and/or Utility Searches
2. Survey
3. Homeowner's Association Estoppels
4. Mortgage payoffs
5. Lien payoffs
6. WDO report

• Follow up on all items ordered to insure we receive them
• Prepare closing documents
• Post Closing

1. Send lender package
2. Record
3. Send disbursement checks
4. Send final recorded docs and title policies (if not previously sent)
5. Review Final File checklist

• Stamp and send outgoing mail as well as process incoming mail
• Any other task as assigned

Consults with Escrow Officer(s), Branch Manager and all levels of management

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Strong work ethic; dependable; trustworthy
• Good organizational skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
• Pass background screening

Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in real estate closing or related field preferable but not required
