This role involves providing vital care to patients with neurological conditions, with the likelihood of floating between the ICU and stepdown units. A strong background in neuro care is essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Neuro ICU/IMCU RN

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients within the ICU and stepdown units
• Effectively manage patient-to-nurse ratios: ICU 1-2, stepdown 3-4
• Administer medications and perform treatments based on established protocols
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Continuously monitor and assess patient condition and adjust care as needed

Requirements of the Neuro ICU/IMCU RN

• Active RN license with Nursys verification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in neuro ICU or stepdown
• Submission of work history without gaps greater than 60 days
• Current certification card
• Complete skills checklist and provide references
