Work Environment

As a remote Mental Health Counselor, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of clinical professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers. The remote setting allows for a balanced work-life dynamic while still providing you the opportunity to engage directly with clients and conduct therapy through secure telehealth platforms. Our work schedule is generally Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the varying needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs, understand their experiences, and develop personalized treatment plans that drive their recovery journey.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to facilitate individual, couples, and family therapy sessions.
• Lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups to help clients navigate their mental health challenges and foster a sense of community.
• Collaborate closely with a diverse team of mental health professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for all patients.
• Offer crisis intervention services during emergencies, providing immediate support and resources to clients in distress.
• Educate clients about their mental health, outline treatment options, and connect them with community resources for additional support.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant documentation as per legal and ethical standards through our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to stay informed about best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a diverse clientele encompassing individuals struggling with conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. We prioritize culturally competent care, ensuring that each client’s unique background and circumstances are considered in their treatment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field is required for this position.
• Must possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and the most effective evidence-based treatment modalities.
• A proven track record of conducting comprehensive assessments and formulating tailored treatment plans.
• Experience delivering therapy to diverse individuals and groups, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport with clients.
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, maintaining professional boundaries while adhering to ethical guidelines.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems to streamline documentation and enhance patient care delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient settings, particularly in community health clinics, is highly desirable.
• Exposure to crisis intervention techniques and group facilitation.
• Knowledge of local resources and referral systems to support broader patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
