Location: Rockland, NY Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Duration: Temp to Hire

Pay rate: $32/hour

Schedule: 9am - 4pm PT (24-30 hours per week)

Position Summary:

Supports nutrition and wellness initiatives for community-based meal programs through nutrition education, counseling, menu certification, assessments, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with Food Services and Social Services.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and present evidence-based nutrition education programs.
• Conduct nutrition counseling and client assessments.
• Track education units and prepare monthly CAARS reporting.
• Create monthly nutrition newsletters for HDM clients.
• Ensure compliance with OFA nutrition regulations.
• Provide ongoing participant consultations and meal plan evaluations.
• Develop nutritional care plans for high-risk clients.
• Assist with standardized recipe development.
• Certify six-week menus and complete nutritional analyses.
• Submit required OFA documentation.
• Conduct annual nutrition satisfaction surveys.

Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing
• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field (Master's preferred,
• if applicable)
• Experience in community nutrition, senior nutrition programs, healthcare, or public health preferred.
• Knowledge of Office for the Aging (OFA) regulations and nutrition standards
• is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
