Interventional Cardiac Registered Nurse - Contract Position

Schedule

Day shifts, 3x10 hour schedule (11:00 AM - 9:30 PM). No weekends, Holidays, or call required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Cardiac Registered Nurse with a strong background in managing cardiac patients and procedures. This position focuses on pre/post invasive and diagnostic procedures, including cardioversion, angiograms, and elective PCI, while supporting EP patients with ablations and lead placements. The ideal candidate should possess advanced IV skills, experience with stable drips, dysrhythmia interpretation, and sheath removal.

Responsibilities

• Pre and post-operative care for interventional cardiac procedures.
• Monitor patients for any complications during recovery.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips as required.
• Perform sheath removals and monitor for bleeding or complications.
• Conduct TEE procedures and cardioversion.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding cardiac procedures and care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License in good standing.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an interventional cardiac unit.
• Experience in managing cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring.
• Previous charge experience is beneficial.
