Electrical Service Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, experienced Electrical Service Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining residential and light commercial electrical systems. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-conscious, and committed to providing outstanding customer service while delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues quickly and accurately.
Perform repairs, installations, and upgrades on residential and light commercial electrical systems.
Install and replace electrical panels, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and other electrical equipment.
Perform service upgrades, rewiring, surge protection, and generator connections.
Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
Communicate clearly with customers about findings, recommendations, and completed work.
Maintain accurate job documentation and service reports.
Keep company vehicle, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
Follow all company safety procedures and standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of residential or commercial electrical service experience.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors.
Journeyman Electrician license preferred but not required, depending on state requirements.
