About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ Years License: Must possess a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have Skills/Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery. Strong knowledge of fetal monitoring and obstetrical care. Ability to provide individualized, seamless care to patients and families. Team player with excellent communication skills. Description: This position offers opportunities for 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week. Candidates with at least 1 year of travel nursing experience will be considered. Background checks must be cleared prior to starting, including criminal and child abuse portions. Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult is required. A drug test must include a 10-panel screening with opiates. Titers must be current within the last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and Tuberculosis. Monday or Tuesday start dates are permitted. This role may require floating to other units within the facility as needed. The patient ratio in active labor is 1:1 and couplet care is 3:1. Intermediate fetal monitoring and Meditech EHR are utilized in this position. Candidates must possess the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. The patient population will primarily consist of obstetric patients. A flexible attitude and a strong commitment to patient care will be essential for success in this role.
