Thursday: pick up ID Badge and Parking Permit, reach out to manager for schedule if you have not received. Friday: 8a-12:30p - Impact Training onsite, Unit Orientation *Please make sure you use your company time sheet to keep up with hours completing HealthStreams, Impact Training, and Unit Orientation. The modules take between 6-8 hours of time. The computer class is 8 hours. Then you will be set up for two 12 hour unit orientation shifts. *Please send your first weeks’ time sheet no later than the 7 am Monday following your first week. Position Details: -BLS required -Previous travel experience required -MINIMUM 2 YEARS in MS required -SDU experience preferred -Specific patient population is general MS -Acuity: heparin gtts, trach care, colostomies, occasionally chest tubes -Unit: 6Main -Ratios: 1:6 -15 beds -RN are expected to care for COVID pts as needed and dictated by census -Epic experience required -every other weekend and some holidays required -Unable to guarantee a set or blocked schedule, even if it is weekends only. Floating expectation: These unit-based travelers would be expected to float to like units (if necessary), in rotation with UAB unit specific staff.
