SAP ABAP Fiori Developer

The Senior SAP Developer ABAP Fiori is responsible for supporting and enhancing the City's SAP landscape, focusing on ABAP development and Fiori applications. This role involves production support, migration to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, custom code remediation, and integration suite migration. The developer will collaborate with various teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs in finance, real estate, and other modules. Responsibilities:

• Provide production support for existing SAP systems until SAP S/4HANA transition completion.
• Investigate and resolve issues reported by clients across SAP modules including Finance, Material Management, Plant Maintenance, Project Systems, and Real Estate.
• Develop and maintain SAP ABAP applications, reports, and Fiori applications.
• Support SAP code modifications and enhancements for other ITS projects.
• Assist with SAP Support Package upgrades by investigating issues and implementing fixes.
• Perform custom code remediation to comply with SAP S/4HANA Cloud private edition standards.
• Migrate PIPO to Integration Suite and applications from NetWeaver Portal to SAP Fiori Launchpad.
• Leverage CDS views to remodel existing reports and applications.
• Drive process modernization in Finance and Real Estate during migration.
• Implement Selective Data Transition (SDT) approach for data migration.
• Extend SAP applications as necessary to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with system integrators and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• 15 years hands-on SAP ABAP development experience including ABAP Object-Oriented programming, debugging, and HANA performance optimization.
• At least 2 years experience with SAP S/4HANA on-premise or private cloud, including end-to-end implementation or conversion projects.
• 5 years SAP integration experience, including 3 years with SAP Integration Suite for A2A, B2B, and hybrid integrations.
• Hands-on experience with RAP development, including data modeling and OData services delivery.
• 5 years experience in ABAP CDS views development including REST services and embedded analytics.
• 2 years experience in SAP extensibility focusing on in-app extensions and clean core principles.
• 4 years of SAP Fiori/UI5 experience covering design, development, deployment, debugging, and extensions.
• 3 years experience working in Agile delivery environments using tools like Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Finance and Controlling functional areas with ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• 7 years experience designing and deploying custom ABAP applications using object-oriented design principles.
• Minimum three-year university degree or college diploma in Computer Information Systems or equivalent.
• At least one valid SAP certification.

• Experience working within a Canadian municipal environment.
• Professional development courses related to SAP or related technologies completed within the last 3 years.
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, and other SAP modules in a multi-application landscape.
• Familiarity with SAP Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, SAP BW/4HANA, and BPC.

• Work may be performed remotely or onsite at 100 Constellation Drive, Ottawa, Ontario.
• Remote work requires alignment with Eastern Standard Time and City of Ottawa business hours.
• Use of City-provided laptop preferred for optimal network and application access; pickup in person required if applicable.
• Contract duration initially one year with possible extensions and amendments based on performance and project needs.
