• 12-hour shifts -- day (7 am - 7 pm) and night (7 pm - 7 am)
• No back-to-back 12-hour shifts creating 24 hours of patient care
• Average daily census: 12 - 15 patients, busier on weekdays
• 4 admits per day; swing bed patients seen in addition to census
• Critical access hospital
• Tele-intensivists available for ICU patient consultation
• Procedure support from ED, radiology, cardiology, and CRNAs
• ACLS certification required
• We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
