Modern Data EngineerExperience: 5+ years working with data in a software or data engineering role. Experience in enterprise environments with a mix of on-prem and cloud technologies.Core Technologies:Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience (including star schema / dimensional models)Hands-on experience with SQL ServerExperience building and maintaining ETL pipelines using SSIS (or similar tools)Experience supporting analytics and reporting through Power BIExperience with Spark-based platforms, with Databricks Lakehouse as the primary future-state technologyData Engineering Skills:Building, operating, and optimizing batch and/or streaming data pipelinesWorking with relational databases, data lakes, and NoSQL systemsTransforming raw data into curated datasets that are easy to analyze and reusableFamiliarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow or equivalent)Experience with CI/CD and Git based workflows for data pipelinesAI & Modern Engineering:Experience using AI tools or copilots to assist with data engineering tasks (SQL development, pipeline generation, testing, documentation)Familiarity with automation or AI agents to streamline engineering workflows is a plusSoft Skills:Strong communication skillsComfortable working directly with engineers and managers in the electric utility / operations domainAble to operate in a regulated, production-critical enterprise environmentEEO: "Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans."
