Senior Cost Estimator Hybrid locations: Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Pittsburgh, PA Overview Position Type: Full time | Education Level: 4‑year degree | Category: Project Controls Expectations Lochner, an Egis company, is recruiting for a Senior Cost Estimator with 10+ years of diverse estimating experience. Transit agency and transportation project experience with a focus in rail, highway and aviation. Your Impact Prepare detailed cost estimates at the preliminary, intermediate, final, and release‑for‑construction stages of design. Review estimates prepared by consultants and contractors. Prepare cost estimates for analyzing value engineering studies. Assist in constructability reviews. Support negotiations for settling contract change modifications and potential claims. Who You Are Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 10 or more years of estimating experience. Diversified experience in transportation projects with emphasis on rail, highway, and aviation. Transit agency owner‑cost experience preferred. Experience with estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid preferred). Professional certifications preferred. Familiarity with FTA (Federal Transit Administration) guidelines and funding requirements. Proficiency Industry‑standard estimating software: HCSS HeavyBid Bluebeam or similar tools Agtek Strong Understanding Construction methods and materials.
