Work Environment

As part of our Richmond Rehabilitation Center, Physical Therapists work onsite in a warm, supportive clinic environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment, setting realistic goals in collaboration with each patient.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, demonstrating techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure maximum efficacy and patient satisfaction.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation protocols, exercise regimens, and strategies to prevent future injuries.
• Document all interactions and treatment activities in our electronic health record (EHR) system accurately and timely.
• Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and sharing feedback to enhance patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, pediatric patients, neurologic conditions, and sports-related injuries. Your role will involve not only enhancing patients' physical capabilities but also supporting them emotionally throughout their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they feel valued and heard. Your interactions will be crucial in helping patients regain independence and achieve their functional goals.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to connect positively with patients and caregivers.
• Competence in word processing and electronic health documentation systems.
• Demonstrated ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with patients.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist in a rehabilitation setting.
• Experience treating patients across multiple specialties such as orthopedic, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies and outcomes tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes base salaries ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits designed to support your health and well-being.
