System AdministratorThe System Administrator provides first-level technical support for computer users, ensuring systems run smoothly and information remains current. This onsite role focuses on installing and maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting technical issues, setting up new users, and delivering training and support across the organization. The position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and the opportunity to work closely with a small, collaborative IT team.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, disk drives, and related peripherals.Perform computer hardware and software troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.Handle computer upgrades, including installing and configuring hard drives, RAM, and other desktop components.Perform system imaging and load appropriate software packages, including operating systems, networking components, and office applications.Set up and manage user accounts in Active Directory and Office 365, ensuring correct access and permissions.Configure and deploy cell phones and desk phones for new and existing users.License software packages to ensure compliance, maintain accurate asset tracking, and monitor inventory.Assist in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet user and business requirements.Provide one-on-one computer and telephone support to employees both in-house and at job sites.Connect users to networks and provide initial training in applications and basic system usage.Communicate project status, updates, and completion information clearly to managers and users.Track and manage support requests using help desk ticketing software, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.Create clear technical and end-user documentation to support system use and troubleshooting.Provide first level support for computer users, including installation, troubleshooting, and training services as needed.Ensure information related to systems, assets, and support activities remains current and accurately documented.Essential SkillsTechnical knowledge of desktop hardware and operating systems.Proficiency in computer hardware and software troubleshooting.Ability to perform system imaging and install operating systems, networking components, and office applications.Experience with new user setup, including configuring user accounts in Active Directory and Office 365.Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues and provide basic network support and analysis.Familiarity with asset tracking and software licensing to ensure compliance and accurate inventory management.Strong customer service orientation with a focus on supporting end users effectively.Excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with users and documenting solutions.Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and common desktop software.Ability to be receptive and adaptable to new software, procedures, and policies.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience providing administrative and customer support in a technical environment.Background in computer support and desktop hardware support within a professional setting.Experience with help desk ticketing software to log, track, and resolve support requests.Ability to create clear technical and end-user documentation.Experience supporting email systems and configuring email on desktops and mobile devices.Comfort working with operating system software and networking components in a business environment.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple support requests and priorities.Work EnvironmentThis position is 100% onsite, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in a construction-focused firm with a modern, comfortable office environment. The team consists of six people, fostering close collaboration and direct communication. The office features a large, well-equipped lunch room and free parking for employees. You will work with desktop computers, mobile devices, phones, networking equipment, and standard business software in a professional yet relaxed setting, supporting both office staff and personnel at job sites.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lynnwood, WA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
