Arthrex is actively searching for a Manager - Manufacturing Engineering to lead a team supporting our Suture Assembly Manufacturing Operations in Ave Maria, Florida. This position provides leadership for manufacturing engineers responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving processes across suture needle attaching, suture assembly, automation, fixture design, and engineering change management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and enhancing quality, throughput, and process capability within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. This position requires a bachelors degree in engineering, 7 years of manufacturing engineering/manufacturing operations experience and 3 years supervisory or management experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and utilize systematic and comprehensive methods and tools to accomplish objectivesVoice of the CustomerRequirements FlowUse ConditionsEngineering Concept Generation and SelectionProcess Development Robust EngineeringDesign for Manufacturability, Assembly, Inspection, and ControlProcess and Measurement CapabilityProcess ControlDeploy techniques to “get it right” the first timeBase conclusions on analytical methods, rational logic, and critical thinking skillsLeverage Project Management tools to establish a plan and deliver reliable, predictable resultsSeek, identify, mitigate, and control sources of equipment, process, operator, and measurement variationIdentify and control through sound engineering methods and techniques process inputs, characteristics, and parameters that significantly influence process outcomesAcquire awareness and knowledge of new and advanced manufacturing technologiesEnsure compliance within functional area and support the compliance objectives of the organization as a whole.Establish a customer focused approach; external and internal customersEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field or equivalent Arthrex experience required7 years Manufacturing Engineering/Manufacturing Operations experience required3 years supervisory or management experience requiredMedical Device Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:Full working knowledge in Design for Six Sigma, and Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing Techniques. Demonstrates process improvement skills. Demonstrates strong computer skills.Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:Knowledge of all manufacturing machines.Language and Communication Skills:Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
