Schedule: Days, 8 hr shifts

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: TBD

Requirements:

• 5 years of Cytotechnologist experience
• ASCP certification
• Experience with EBUS, EUS, and Thyroid FNA procedures
• Experience with EPIC

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Participate in specialized technical tasks involved in processing and screening cytological specimens to detect cancer or other pathological conditions.
• Screen slides of clinical specimens, both gynecologic and non-gynecologic, marking abnormalities and rendering diagnoses according to departmental protocols.
• Determine cases for quality control or subsequent review with a pathologist.
• Perform various Quality Control and Quality Assurance procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations and protocols.
• Conduct rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) using tele-pathology systems for Fine Needle Aspirations.
