Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational environment near Norristown, PA. This position is perfect for those passionate about fostering academic, social, and emotional growth among diverse student populations. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the first week of January 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification for Pennsylvania
- Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling abilities
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred through special education processes
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions addressing academic, behavioral, and socio-emotional needs
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective strategies for student growth and success
- Interpret assessment data and provide clear recommendations for intervention or further support
- Contribute to team meetings and IEP processes, ensuring student-centered planning and compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary and support student wellbeing across the school community
