Senior Engineer - Construction Engineering

Job Location US-DC-Washington | US-CA-Los Angeles | US-New York | US-CA-San Diego | US-CA-San Francisco | US-CO-Denver | US-IL-Chicago Responsibilities Walter P Moore has an immediate opening for a Senior Engineer to join our dynamic Construction Engineering team. The qualified candidate will have at least 6+ years of relevant experience working in the areas of steel design, steel connection design and erection sequencing analysis. The candidate should possess high energy, be self‑motivated and able to work within a strong team environment, serving clients on major projects throughout the United States and internationally. Technical specialization, proactivity, and aggressiveness when meeting client and project needs are pluses. Clients will include architects, developers, institutions, and contractors. The candidate should possess a strong "can‑do" customer service attitude. Qualifications 6 to 9 years’ experience in steel design, steel connection design and erection sequencing analysis. Demonstrated career growth that includes supervision of junior staff. Master’s in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural strongly preferred. Professional engineer license in the residing state, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months. Experience with Tekla and Building Information Modeling (BIM) a plus. SAP 2000 modeling experience required. Proactive, strong organizational skill, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and client‑service oriented.
