Description: Groove Subaru is looking for an experienced and motivated New Car Director to join our leadership team. We are seeking a strong automotive professional who can drive new vehicle sales, build a high-performing team, and create an exceptional customer experience.If you are a proven automotive sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and is ready to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do:- Lead and oversee the New Car Sales Department
- Develop and coach Sales Managers and Sales Associates
- Drive new vehicle sales volume, gross profit, and overall department profitability
- Monitor and manage sales performance, KPIs, and monthly objectives
- Work closely with the General Sales Manager and dealership leadership
- Manage new vehicle inventory and ensure appropriate inventory levels
- Monitor pricing, market conditions, incentives, and manufacturer programs
- Ensure vehicles are properly merchandised and presented for sale
- Help develop effective sales strategies to maximize new vehicle opportunities
- Assist with forecasting and monthly sales planning
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and CSI
- Recruit, train, motivate, and retain top sales talent
- Ensure dealership policies, processes, and manufacturer standards are followed
- Work with Finance, Service, Parts, and Used Car departments to maximize overall dealership performance
- Lead by example and create a positive, accountable, high-performance culture
- Previous experience in an automotive dealership leadership role
- Proven track record of achieving new vehicle sales goals
- Strong understanding of dealership operations and automotive sales processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to coach and motivate a sales team
- Strong understanding of dealership KPIs, gross profit, volume, and inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Strong computer and CRM skills
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
- Authorized to work in the United States
