Class A CDL Driver – Flatbed (Home Daily)

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to operate a semi truck with a flatbed trailer, delivering structural steel to customers within a three-hour radius. This role emphasizes safe driving, proper load securement, professional customer interaction, and consistent attendance. Drivers are home every night and work a predictable Monday–Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a semi truck with a flatbed trailer to deliver structural steel to customer locations.
• Prepare, secure, and properly tie down large, heavy, and sharp metal loads.
• Follow planned delivery routes and adjust as needed to ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform and document daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Identify and report mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
• Load and unload materials safely at customer sites when required.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation.
• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries and pickups.
• Comply with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
• Maintain regular, dependable attendance to support operations.

Essential Qualifications

• Active Class A CDL license.
• Minimum 1 year of semi truck driving experience.
• Proven experience securing and tying down heavy loads.
• Ability to safely operate a flatbed trailer.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle safety checks and inspections.
• Ability to accurately track deliveries and complete logs.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Physically capable of loading and unloading materials.
• Ability to read and follow delivery instructions and documentation.
• Commitment to safety and dependable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of flatbed experience (strongly preferred).
• Experience delivering structural steel or similar heavy materials.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining communication and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, start time at 5:00 AM
• (End time varies; typically mid-afternoon depending on deliveries)
• Home Daily
• Work primarily in a semi truck cab with extended seated driving.
• Outdoor, hands-on work handling heavy steel materials.
• Dress Code: Casual, practical attire (jeans, T-shirt, work boots).

This is a Permanent position based out of Omaha, NE. The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
