Sr. Software Engineer - Patient Services

Responsibilities

• Architect and re-engineer high-throughput, distributed backend data systems for scalability, resilience, fault tolerance, and data integrity.
• Drive technical strategy and zero-to-one architectural decisions for a high-impact Patient Services initiative.
• Build distributed, event-driven, and microservice-based systems.
• Mentor engineers, review architectures, and establish design patterns and operational rigor.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools and frameworks to improve development velocity while maintaining quality guardrails.
• Partner with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to shape the engineering roadmap and product vision.
• Drive sustainable operational improvements for customer-facing products.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of related professional experience.
• Experience building distributed and event-driven systems.
• Experience with microservice development.
• Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools and frameworks.
• Experience mentoring others, reviewing architectures, and establishing design patterns.
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
• Experience with on-call responsibilities, early-stage or high-growth startups, and high-reliability or high-accuracy products is preferred.
• Experience with Node.js and Kafka is preferred.
