The Air Force Test Center (AFTC) is looking for a Full-Time Vehicle Management and Analysis Production Controller (NJ-1152-02) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) at Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, CA. This position: provides automotive production to include the scheduling, controlling activities, establishing priorities and coordinating requirement to effectively manage vehicle maintenance activities; administers and liaisons all matters related to the GSA fleet; performs fleet management and analysis responsibilities; vehicle licensing and related records management functions. The Logistics Branch, Vehicle Management Section is responsible for overall management, operation and maintenance of the unit’s vehicle fleet and accounts for, operates, and maintains vehicle assets so they are safe, efficient, environmentally sound and meet mission needs.   • Experience in Vehicle Management and Analysis, diagnostic methods and procedures, maintenance data collection, and reporting procedures and conduct operations in ELMS
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance contract services and warranty information.
  • Knowledge of the ELMS data retention program; sufficient to retrieve, verify, and analyze data relevant to the vehicle maintenance program
  • Ability to plan and program long and short range maintenance requirements for a fleet of special purpose vehicles and equipment
  • Knowledge of Ground Transportation Licensing program, methods and procedures, data collection, and reporting procedures and conduct operations in OLVIMS Licensing Module1. Meet all certification requirements for the position.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • High degree of tact and interpersonal communication skills.
Major Duties: Manages all aspects of vehicle maintenance by processing work orders in government systems like Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), scheduling everything from preventative checks to major overhauls, and adjusting workloads based on resources and priorities. This includes coordinating with repair shops, monitoring contracts, resolving production delays, and meticulously maintaining all vehicle records and historical data. Performs comprehensive fleet management and data analysis using logistics systems like GSA Fleet program and Basing & Logistics Analytics Data Environment (BLADE) to generate reports, manage vehicle recalls and priority buy programs, and oversee the base's vehicle control program. This role also involves managing the vehicle budget, license plate inventory, and overseeing the use of leased vehicles and the DoD fuel card program. Ensures strict adherence to compliance and administrative protocols by overseeing inspection checklists, participating in readiness exercises, and managing specialized programs for Nuclear Certified Equipment. This position also handles the management of technical manuals, official records, employee timekeeping, and financial collaboration with GSA fleet services. Responsible for assessing applicable MICT checklists. Directs the installation's vehicle operator qualification and licensing program by managing the On-Line Vehicle Interactive Management System (OLVIMS), serving as the main liaison for all licensing matters with external authorities, and processing background checks for trainers. This duty also involves making official- use determinations, documenting vehicle misuse, and planning transportation resources to meet mission requirements.
