Cath Lab Tech in Waterbury, CT

Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a skilled professional in a thriving cardiac catheterization laboratory environment. This contract role calls for a dedicated technologist to provide high-quality patient care, working closely with an expert clinical team.


Schedule/Hours:

• 17-week contract
• 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• On-call rotation every third weekend
• On-call two weekdays per week, as determined by unit needs

Qualifications:

• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Registered Technologist - Radiography [RT(R)] or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• Proven experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting, with strong knowledge of imaging procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-acuity situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and assessment of patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures
• Operate advanced imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols
• Accurately document procedures and patient responses
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond promptly as clinical needs arise
