Overview Department 34404 Atrium Health Cabarrus - Nursing Med Surg: IU Family Medicine 3H Status Full time Benefits Eligible Yes Hours Per Week 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information Full Time, Nightshift, Every third weekend required Pay Range $38.20 - $57.30 This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible Where You Will Work Working on the Age- Friendly Unit focused on geriatric care (patients typically 65+). Care centered around the 4Ms: What Matters, Mentation, Medication, Mobility. The unit cares for Med/Surg geriatric patients with conditions such as GI, respiratory, diabetes, cardiac, or infectious diseases while stable on a medical unit. The unit emphasizes professional governance, bedside nurse input at the hospital level, and a monthly Unit Coordinating Council meeting to address practices and concerns. Opportunities exist for Clinical Ladder Advancement and Professional Certifications. The 28-bed Age- Friendly Unit includes Exercise Physiologist involvement, a Geriatric Pharmacist, Geriatric APPs, and a Gerontologist who participate in Interdisciplinary Rounds. Expectations We’re Looking For Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association What You’ll Do As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and effective communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
