Job Opening: School Cafeteria Worker

Boise City Public Schools is accepting applications for a School Cafeteria Worker . We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to providing nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming environment for our students.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch according to district and USDA guidelines.
• Prepare food items and ensure proper portion sizes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, serving area, dining area, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Receive, organize, and properly store food and supplies.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Work cooperatively with cafeteria staff, school personnel, and students.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager or Administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food service experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
