Damar is looking for a passionate Learning and Development Specialist to be responsible for providing direct training to employees of Damar. Provides both internal and external trainings as assigned and enhances Damar's reputation within the industry and in the community. The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for facilitating new employee orientation and assist with other learning and development initiatives.Here are just a few of the benefits you'll enjoy at Damar:Eligible for the Damar Advantage including discounts at Damar Health Services and Damar PharmacyComprehensive training in verbal intervention and physical management techniquesMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance optionsUp to $3,000 per year in Tuition AssistanceSave for your retirement with our 401(k) Plan ParticipationTake care of loved ones through our Damar provided Life Insurance and additional voluntary optionsShort-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance optionsPaid Holidays to spend time with loved onesPaid Time Off (PTO) for rest and renewalRemarkable ways you will be making a difference:Designs, plans and implements learning and development programs to drive organization improvementDevelops teaching outlines and instructional methods for individual and group learning opportunitiesConducts training sessions for internal and external stakeholders, such as New Hire Orientation, 1st Aid/CPR, certifications, etcDemonstrates ownership of the training process including full accountability to meet department training goals and creating a positive learner experience through managing the training schedule, content, interactions, and outcomesCollaborates with the Director of Learning & Development and subject matter experts to develop and implement projects/training activities to promote clinical and administrative expertise within Damar and within the industryDelivers synchronous and asynchronous learning events using varied media in virtual and local environmentsConducts Training Needs Analysis (TNA) using ADDIE methodology that identifies competencies, training requirements, training/professionalization deficiencies and learning objectivesMaintains relationships with Damar's program management teams to serve as a business partner and proactively address learning needsUtilizes data collection in relation to driving and tracking outcomes and achieving Damar initiatives and goalsActively participates in and/or oversees data collection and the use of data to improve outcomes, practices and service deliveryWhat you need to be considered:Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, education, adult learning, or a related human services field preferred; 3-4 years of Damar/like agency experience may be substituted for education2-4 years of professional experience as a facilitator in a Learning and Development / Training capacity preferredHands-on experience with Learning Management Software (LMS) preferredMust have or be able to obtain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Trainer CertificationMust have or be able to obtain 1st Aid/CPR Trainer CertificationMinimum age of 21 per licensure requirementsValid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictionsSuccessfully complete a pre-employment physicalFavorably meet and maintain Damar's background screening
