Associate Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Litigation Attorney to join its Chicago, Illinois office. This hybrid position requires a civil litigator with 3-5 years of experience in the General Liability and Toxic Tort Practice Groups. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional research, writing, and litigation skills. Duties Manage cases proactively from start to finish in state and federal courts. Draft pleadings, written discovery, motions, and conduct related research. Engage in frequent client communications and reporting. Perform comprehensive legal analysis, case evaluations, and strategy recommendations. Coordinate and collaborate with expert witnesses. Attend depositions, court hearings, and mediations. Prepare for and attend trials. Requirements J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice in Illinois; additional state licenses are a plus. 3-5 years of litigation and Toxic Tort experience in state and federal courts. Ability to manage caseload proactively from start to finish. Strong work ethic and ability to self-manage and work in a team environment. Excellent research, written, and oral communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and contributing to client development. Education J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
