Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead the growth of our private pay Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA). This individual will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, expanding referral networks, and increasing private pay census through relationship-driven sales and community outreach.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in private pay home care business development, an established network of referral sources, and a passion for delivering exceptional care to clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to grow the agency's private pay client base.

• Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources including:

  • Hospitals and discharge planners

  • Concierge physicians and physician practices

  • Geriatric care managers

  • Elder law attorneys

  • Trust officers and financial advisors

  • Assisted living and independent living communities

  • Senior centers and community organizations

• Identify and secure new referral opportunities through networking, presentations, and community events.

• Meet and exceed monthly referral, admission, and revenue goals.

• Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to ensure a seamless client onboarding experience.

• Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

• Track sales activity, referrals, and pipeline using CRM tools.

• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.

• Prepare regular reports on business development performance and market activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of business development experience in private pay home care, home health, senior services, or healthcare.

• Demonstrated success growing private pay census within an LHCSA or similar organization.

• Strong network of referral relationships throughout the New York healthcare and senior care community.

• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.

• Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
