Full-time Medical Assistant - Ortho Trauma | Dallas, TX 75243 | MINIMUM 1 year Ortho trauma REQUIRED

Hiring a full-time Medical Assistant with at least 1 year of experience in Ortho Trauma to join our joint practice team in Dallas, TX 75243 to assist 3 physicians and up to 30 patients a day, Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week. EMR: Centricity

Pay: $18.07/hr - $23/hr | Based on experience

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• (1) Medical Assistant with a minimum of 1 year ortho trauma experience - REQUIRED
• Perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, intake assessments, X-ray support, and medication administration.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation.
• Effective communication skills to provide exceptional patient service across diverse populations.
• CMA preferred

Job Summary

• High volume of sports injuries, fracture care, tendon ruptures, and patients requiring comprehensive joint reconstruction and trauma
• Perform patient intake procedures, collect medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
• Assist with clinical procedures, including medication administration, wound care, and basic X-ray imaging.
• Support physicians during examinations and treatments in trauma
• Maintain accurate documentation within EMR Centricity.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
• Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to aid clinical decision-making.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper sterilization of equipment.
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, appointments, and communication between patients and healthcare providers.
