Cybersecurity Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor, optimize, and protect our organization’s information systems, networks, and cloud environments. In this role, you will act as a vital link between cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring robust security posture, threat mitigation, and strict adherence to industry standards and regulatory compliance metrics. Core Responsibilities Security Systems Management: Coordinate daily security operations, including threat tracking, vulnerability assessments, security tool administration, and vendor follow-ups. Compliance & Standards: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure all security architectures and operational practices align with company SOPs, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and regulatory requirements. Data Integrity & Security Analytics: Perform continuous monitoring using SIEM and security analytics platforms, leveraging log data and telemetry to track security KPIs (incident response times, threat detection, vulnerability remediation). Risk & Incident Monitoring: Monitor network reliability, intrusion alerts, and potential breaches, promptly escalating security risks and vulnerabilities to relevant stakeholders and platform providers. Quality & Process Optimization: Author and maintain incident reports and security guidelines, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, security automation, and internal/external audits. Liaison & Collaboration: Serve as a primary point of contact for external security service providers, platform vendors, and internal cross-functional IT and engineering teams. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field (Required). Experience: 0–5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC analysis, systems security, or IT security compliance. Technical Skills (Required): Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat vectors, network security architecture, and incident response. Proficiency in security platforms and monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, Wireshark, Splunk, Power BI, Firewalls). Familiarity with network security protocols, vulnerability scanning, and IAM (Identity and Access Management). Excellent documentation, system logging, and analytical problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: Certification (or eligibility) for CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or AWS Certified Security - Specialty. Experience with cloud security, threat hunting, and automated threat detection pipelines. Knowledge of Agile/DevOps methodologies or basic IT security project management principles.
