Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ophthalmology and be capable of performing essential surgical procedures independently. The position requires flexibility to handle cases that may extend beyond regular hours and to be on call during weekends and holidays.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift position, Monday-Friday. Scheduled 8-hour shifts from 06:45 AM to 03:15 PM, with potential for extended hours as cases may require.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in various surgical procedures, particularly in ophthalmology including cataract and corneal procedures.
• Scrub and circulate in an operating room environment for diverse surgical cases.
• Respond to call shifts as required, maintaining a 30-minute response time.
• Support overall surgical team operations, including collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare professionals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse with specific experience in ophthalmology.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA).
• Ability to independently perform cataract and cornea procedures.
• Willingness to float to other surgical departments as needed.
