As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in West Jordan, UT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen individuals and materials, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Screen personnel, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and/or vehicles entering the distribution location in accordance with site requirements. Verify credentials, review access authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or policy violations. Minimum Requirements: At least one year of security-related experience is required. CPR certification is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
