Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: CPI required; class provided Must-Have: Experience with de-escalation of patients with mental illness. Adaptable in learning electronic medical record documentation needs. Description: Adult Psychiatric Unit with 48 beds over three units. The unit operates with a patient-to-staff ratio of 1:10. Staff includes CNCs, nurses, and mental health technicians on both day and night shifts. Typical procedures performed include admissions, discharges, and ongoing assessments for suicidality and safety. Nurse rounding is conducted to ensure patient safety and needs are met. Best personality fit includes a team-oriented RN willing to meet patients where they are. Unit culture focuses on safety and teamwork. Staff duress buttons and onsite security are available to enhance safety.
