Join us in making a difference!Garver is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to join our growing team in the Overland Park area. They will be mentored and trained as seller-doers with opportunities to lead projects, market our services, interact with transportation clients in Kansas.Responsibilities:Project managementSub-consultant coordinationProject/task schedulingCivil designPlan production oversightPreparing cost estimatesClient interactionTechnical experience should include:
Geometric design for roadways/interchangesDrainage designConstruction sequencing and traffic controlUtility relocation coordinationMarketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals and letters of interest, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited programLicensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)Six (6) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience (KDOT preferred).Practical working knowledge of the KDOT Roadway Design Manual and the AASHTO Greenbook and Roadside Design Guide as well as other KDOT Design manuals and processes.Strong working knowledge of MicroStation (Geopak, OpenRoads, OpenRoads Designer).Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong working knowledge of MS OfficePreferred Requirements:Previous roadway design experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on KDOT (or other DOT) transportation projects.3D Design experience.Grow With UsGarver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
