JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Burbank, CA 90505 Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Aug 03, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: 3-4 days per week, 9am 4pm On-Call Shift Schedule: 3-4 days per week, 5pm 7am (weekdays) or 24hr (weekends) Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:4 Call Response Time: 20-30 mins Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 18-20 patients/day FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: RNs: 1, MAs: 5, PA/NPs: 1 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: No Credentialing Timeline: 90 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: Low risk pregnancy High risk pregnancy FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) OB Ultrasounds (Performance of, interpretation) Level I/Screening (viability) Routine delivery Vaginal Low forceps Decision-making for c-section Complicated delivery C-section Breech Multiple births Abruptions VBAC's Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.) Surgical gynecology Open Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation) Operative/major (includes diagnostic) (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's) Preferred: Level II/Targeted (anatomic) Amniocentesis Laser certification JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE within 5 years of residency Licenses: Licensed in CA DEA: CA DEA required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Experience: Providers must have case logs to be credentialed for hospital coverage Duties & Responsibilities Provide OBGYN coverage in both clinic and hospital settings. Perform routine and complicated deliveries. Manage clinic patient volume and surgical gynecology cases. Participate in call rotation for hospital coverage. Maintain accurate case logs for hospital credentialing.
