Base pay range $22.00/hr - $32.00/hr Company: APS Location: Phoenix, AZ Hours: Onsite 8-5, M-F PR: $22-32 A Solar Technician at Arizona Public Service (APS) is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar panels and related equipment for residential and commercial customers. Here are some key responsibilities and requirements for this role: Installation: Set up solar panels, inverters, and other system components. Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues with solar systems. Safety: Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. Needs: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in solar energy or electrical systems is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in solar installation or electrical work. Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) are a plus. Physical Ability: Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment.
