Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (C++ / VxWorks)
Location: Dahlgren, VA (Zip: 22448) | Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Full-Time / Permanent)
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 Base Salary (Competitive Market Range + Full Corporate Benefits)
Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Design, write, and maintain efficient C++ code for safety-critical missile and weapon system applications.
- Real-Time Systems: Develop and support applications running on VxWorks real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Integration & Testing: Perform hardware-software integration for missile simulators and test equipment; lead verification and validation (V&V) activities.
- Collaboration: Work within multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance with stringent defense and safety requirements.
- Technical Artifacts: Maintain rigorous technical documentation and software development artifacts throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Extensive software development experience using C++ and VxWorks RTOS.
- Embedded Knowledge: Understanding of real-time embedded principles, SMP (Symmetric Multi-Processing), and multi-core architectures.
- Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is strictly required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) or Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) systems.
- Familiarity with missile flight test programs, telemetry formats, and weapon system test equipment.
Previous experience in Defense, Aerospace, or Naval systems programs.
