HVAC Technician

Deliver effective, efficient, and timely facility maintenance services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory Travel in a company van to customer sites to maintain commercial properties Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems Troubleshoot and service commercial HVAC systems Test and analyze equipment data and provide recommendations Understand control operation and sequence of operation for commercial HVAC systems Perform preventative maintenance checks and services on package and split-unit HVAC systems Repair steam/hot water boiler systems and diagnose airflow and ducting issues Safely use refrigerants in compliance with EPA requirements Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and system failures on boilers and HVAC systems Perform minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry maintenance Complete service and asset inspections Access and complete work orders using tablet and smartphone technology Create and submit service reports, quality inspection images, and reports Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs Obtain materials and supplies needed for tasks Maintain customer satisfaction and communicate with customers and internal support teams Complete required safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed onsite Complete other assigned duties Requirements HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care, preferred Certified 2 year HVAC technical certificate or state approved HVAC license 5 years HVAC/General Maintenance experience including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry required; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience HVAC experience working on industrial/commercial HVAC equipment and systems Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver’s license in good standing Must possess an EPA Universal Refrigeration License Ability to read and comprehend safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to present information in individual and small group situations Ability to use handheld devices and business systems or document management database software, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to comply with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives Knowledge of OSHA standards and Company safety policies Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Ability to travel locally between properties daily Ability to drive a company vehicle daily Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds occasionally Ability to work with required safety equipment and follow lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in HVAC system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, with a strong focus on compliance with safety regulations and customer satisfaction.
