Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Shift/1st Shift

Description

Position Summary: Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all company fleet vehicles, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of vehicles
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Complete documentation
• Responds to service calls
• Maintain tools
• Clean work area
• Coordinate and monitor department repair and employee work schedules
• Assist as needed with building maintenance
• Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• High-School Diploma/GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred
• 1+ years of mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment (i.e. tractor/trailers, forklift, and powered industrial trucks)
• ASE Certification preferred
• Have or be willing to obtain a valid Class A CDL
• Valid driver's license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines

Work Environment: Shop environment with some parking lot and light roadside work

• Visual and auditory abilities include depth perception and color vision
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling and squatting
• Frequent balancing, climbing, sitting, and reaching
• Ability to lift/carry <75lbs
• Ability to push/pull <75lbs

Reports to: Fleet Supervisor

Job Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: M-F with seasonal Saturdays as needed. 7a-4p Negotiable

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour based upon experience
