Sterile Processing Technician – Sterile Processing

Schedule: Day shift: weekdays 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; every third weekend 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience as a travel clinician
• Certifications: CBSPD; IAHCSMM / HSPA
• Key clinical skills:
• Scope and instrument reprocessing (including colonoscopes, bronchoscopes, cystoscopes, ERCP, EBUS/EUS, urology scopes)
• High-level disinfection, AER operation, manual cleaning, ultrasonic cleaners
• Sterilization processes and testing/monitoring (steam, Steris, Sterrad)
• Sets/tray assembly, loaner tray handling, labeling, wrap selection
• Experience with robotics and laparoscopic instruments is helpful
• Charting system: Epic

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the proper cleaning, sterilization, and packaging of surgical instruments and equipment
• Monitor and maintain sterilization processes and records
• Assemble instrument sets and trays according to standards and protocols
• Collaborate with surgical services team to ensure timely availability of instruments

Compliance / Notes:

• Compliance documents are due by Monday prior to start
• Must provide last four digits of SSN during compliance
• Pre-approved time off: Two days allowed
• Scrubs provided; any color acceptable
• Orientation: 40 hours required
