Location: Mclean, VA
Contract - W2 or Permanent/Fulltime
Job Description
Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in designing and developing applications using Java 8+/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and UI frameworks.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in building microservices using Spring Boot and REST APIs.
- Strong expertise in ORM frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate.
- Solid understanding and experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in one of the UI frameworks Angular or ReactJS.
- At least 1 year of experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using AWS services (e.g., EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda).
- Proficient in working with RDBMS, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Strong experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven/Gradle, Git/Bitbucket.
- Good understanding of technical concepts such as security, transactions, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with OAuth implementation using Ping Identity.
- Familiarity with API management tools like Apigee and service mesh technologies such as Istio.
- Exposure to ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Experience with queue-based systems.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB.
- Scripting experience in Unix or Python.
Soft Skills:
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and tools.
- Capable of working independently and contributing effectively to project success.
- Active participation in project discussions to understand application design and deployment processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- AWS certification is preferred.
