About the Position

Seeking Locums Emergency Medicine Physicians to join a high-performing EM team at a premier hospital in Brandon, FL, just outside Tampa. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in one of Florida’s busiest Emergency Departments within a large, well-supported system. System has multiple FSED's in the surrounding area as well, providing multiple shift options.

Emergency Department Details:

• MAIN SITE: Annual Volume: 120K+ visits
• 20% Pediatric volume (covered by dedicated Pediatric EM physicians)
• 45-bed ED
• 29 Adult Beds
• 8 Pediatric Beds
• 8 Fast Track Beds
• 5 (FIVE) FSED's attached in the system that providers will credential at as well, with lower volumes.

Coverage Model:

• Main ED Physician Coverage: 88 hours/day
• Pediatric ED Coverage: 24 hours/day
• APP Coverage: 59 hours/day

Available shifts include

• 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM,
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• 12:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Practice Details

• Physicians do not write admitting orders
• Physicians do not respond to floor codes

Requirements

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active Florida License (or ability to obtain)
• DEA
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
