SMALL EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Operates small to mid-sized heavy civil construction equipment in support of general site development and infrastructure projects throughout Central Florida. Works on a miscellaneous field crew performing a variety of tasks including excavation, grading, material handling, and site preparation. Key Responsibilities: Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compact track loaders, rollers, and small dozersPerform general excavation, grading, and backfilling for site work projectsAssist with clearing, rough grading, and site preparation activitiesMove and stage materials, aggregate, and construction suppliesSupport field crews with various tasks as directed by foreman or superintendentMaintain safe and efficient equipment operation around active job sitesPerform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenanceFollow grade stakes, markings, and general site layout instructions Requirements: 2+ years of equipment operating experience in heavy civil or site work constructionAbility to safely operate multiple types of small equipmentBasic understanding of grading and site preparation conceptsExperience working in Central Florida conditions (sand, heat, wet ground, and variable terrain) preferredStrong teamwork skills and willingness to assist in multiple phases of constructionReliable transportation to job sites across Central Florida
