Job Details Location: Boys & Girls Club Truckee Meadows – Reno, NV 89512 As a Leader In Training (LIT), you'll have the opportunity to impact other members and the community, while gaining friendships, work experience, and volunteer hours along the way! You'll also have access to scholarships, activities, and programs to help you gain independence, and trips to help you plan for your future. Our programming team will support you not only in graduating from high school, but in gaining the skills and tools needed to further your career or education, with programs like Money Matters and Career Launch. Responsibilities While working with BGCTM members as an LIT, you'll help staff with monitoring members, excusing members during mealtimes, and modeling BGCTM GREAT values. Commitment As an active LIT, you would need to commit to: Volunteering a minimum of two afternoons a week during the school year Working at least two hours each shift Aiming for a total of 100 hours of volunteering Requirements To be an LIT, you need to: Be a current Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows member Be at least 13 years old Have at least a 2.5 GPA Be recommended by a BGCTM staff member Values and Behaviors As an LIT, you should: Know that the Club is a great place, and believe in those values Want to do more than just come to the Club; want to gain skills to lead at the Club Believe that every person should be celebrated Respect yourself and your future and set goals for your education or career GREAT Values As an LIT, you'll have the opportunity to develop a great life, inspired by GREAT values: Generosity, Respect, Encouragement, Accountability, and Trustworthiness. #J-18808-Ljbffr
