TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in West Islip, New York, 11795!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing License: Valid State Nursing License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred, patient ratio experience, charting system experience in Epic preferred. Description: Seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for night shifts. Responsible for patient care in a clinical decision unit. Will manage overflow from the emergency department. Candidate must be proficient in accessing and managing ports. Experience with blood product administration and cardiac telemetry is essential. Must be able to interpret dysrhythmias and follow isolation precautions. Knowledge of IV insulin protocols is required. Should have skills in managing seizure disorders and feeding tube care. Expected patient ratios: 7 patients per nurse during shifts. Candidates should be comfortable working with adults in an observation setting. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services. Prior permanent and travel work history within similar systems must be documented. Two supervisory clinical references are required for submission. Local candidates are welcome, defined as within 75 miles of the facility. Nursing staff must have a valid state license and must provide relevant certifications.
