Supervisory Wildland Firefighter (Engine Captain) As a Supervisory Wildland Firefighter (Engine Captain) your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Exercises supervisory authority to regularly assigned firefighters within a fire engine crew. Performs administrative program management functions such as planning, budget execution, and stewardship of facilities, equipment, vehicles, and accountable property. Applies an experienced understanding of firefighter safety, fire behavior, topography of the area weather, fuels, and training in fire management. Plans action and directs utilization of fireline resources; directs assigned suppression operations and recommends and implements tactical strategies for suppressing fires. Oversees the development and implementation of training programs to comply with policy, regulations, and development. Department of the Interior
